Analysis of subcontract in chilean universities; especially in state´s universities case; and legal means to finish it

Abstract

This paper analyzes subcontract and its impact in Chilean universities to visualize the possible legal obstacles to put an end to it. To fulfill this objective, it begins by giving a theoretical explanation about the beginnings of this figure in universities; then its described, referring to the current legal normative and then the general criticisms that have been made are analyzed and its particular impact on employment in universities is observed, based on different studies on the subject, giving account that involves precarious employment for workers; finally, an analysis of the possible legal barriers to terminate is made concluding that it is an essentially political problem: The model of university we want.
